For drivers regularly carrying family, friends, or coworkers, the INFINITI QX80 makes better use of its full-size SUV proportions.

Power That Pulls Ahead

Under the hood, the INFINITI QX80 and the Lexus LX begin from similar foundations, pairing twin-turbocharged V6 engines with automatic transmissions and paddle shifters. A closer look at the numbers, however, gives the QX80 a noticeable edge in outright performance.

With more horsepower and torque on tap, the QX80 delivers stronger acceleration and greater confidence when merging, passing, or hauling heavier loads.

That added strength also carries over to capability. When properly equipped, the INFINITI QX80 can tow up to 8,500 pounds, compared to the Lexus LX at 8,000 pounds. That extra 500 pounds may offer greater flexibility, allowing drivers to tow a larger camper, a heavier boat setup, or additional cargo and gear with ease.

Confidence in Changing Conditions

With Drive Mode Selectors and standard or available 4WD systems, the INFINITI QX80 and the Lexus LX can adapt to changing road and weather conditions while helping maintain traction and stability. The QX80's Dynamic Digital Suspension and the Lexus LX's Adaptive Variable Suspension also help reduce body motion and vibration for a smoother ride.

The QX80 adds another layer of flexibility with its available Electronic Air Suspension, which can raise the SUV for additional ground clearance or lower it for easier access. That makes everyday tasks more convenient, whether you're stepping in and out, loading cargo or pets, or hitching and leveling a trailer.

The Lexus LX offers a similar height-adjustable system through its hydraulic-based Active Height Control, though the QX80's air suspension places a stronger emphasis on ride comfort and adaptability.

A More Connected Cabin

The INFINITI QX80 and the Lexus LX come well equipped with modern infotainment features, including standard wireless smartphone integration, wireless charging, Wi-Fi hotspot capability, integrated navigation, and intelligent virtual assistants. The QX80, however, delivers a larger digital experience across the cabin.

Both SUVs include premium audio systems as standard, though the QX80 raises the bar with a 14-speaker Klipsch® Premium Audio System compared to the Lexus LX and its in-house 10-speaker setup. The QX80 also includes Active Sound Enhancement, which automatically adjusts volume with vehicle speed to help keep music, podcasts, and calls clearer against road noise.

Safety is essential whether you're driving alone or with a full cabin, which is why both the INFINITI QX80 and Lexus LX come equipped with a comprehensive suite of driver-assist features, including forward emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, lane-keeping assistance, and adaptive cruise control.

That said, the INFINITI QX80 includes several exclusive advanced systems as standard:

• Predictive Forward Collision Warning – monitors up to two vehicles ahead of you
• Invisible Hood View – helps you see what's directly in front of and beneath the vehicle
• Front Wide View – expands forward visibility to nearly 180 degrees

Both models also offer steering assist and lane-centering support, but the QX80 goes further with available ProPILOT Assist 2.1, which can help with lane changes, resume set speed, and enable hands-free driving on compatible roads to reduce fatigue on long drives. These are capabilities not offered on the Lexus LX.
